Scotland: Circumnavigation of Lismore and Shuna
In October, myself and two other paddlers completed a circumnavigation of the islands of Lismore and Shuna in Loch Linnhe, a large sea loch in the western Scottish Highlands.
We’d actually originally planned to be paddling around the Knoydart peninsula, a trip I had really been looking forward to, but the damn weather scuppered our plans, forcing us to cobble together this trip at the last minute. Admittedly I was originally rather disappointed by the plan change, but Lismore really surprised me with its rugged coastline and surprisingly remote feel, and I ended up throughly enjoying myself. We also got to visit the Castle Aargh from Monty Python and the Holy Grail!
Having recently taken an interest in shooting videos whilst out and about, I took the opportunity to shoot bits and bobs as we made our way around the islands, and put together a 15 minute video of our wee adventure, complete with slightly awkward narration by yours truly. Enjoy!
